Travel Planning to the Columbia, SC (Midlands) Area

Air Fare, Hotels & Car Rental -

There are numerous options for air travel to Columbia, SC and the Midlands area. Multiservice travel options include Booking.com (map below), TripAdvisor, Expedia, Priceline & Travelocity. With these, you can secure your flight, hotel and car rental usually with some discount for bundling the three.

Alternatively, you can approach these separately and book air travel thru Delta, United Airlines or US Air and connect directly into the Columbia, SC airport or about a 1 1/2 hours drive further thru Charlotte, NC.

The next task would be securing the car rental from the airport to your hotel destination. I prefer and recommend Rentalcars.com or alternatively Hotwire or AutoEurope. Of the several services, I rank National the highest since I get to pick my car and usually avoid lines signing up for service. Of course with the multi-car agency services that may not be the most affordable option.

And finally on to reserving your hotel. There are numerous options in Columbia with a new Hampton Inn & Suites being built in the Northeast part of the city as we speak. My preferred brands are Hilton with the Hilton Honors program, Marriott, IHG (Holiday Inn Express) and Best Western. Strategize your hotel planning near the bowling sites or choose one near the downtown area to take advantage of Columbia's nightlife options.

        Hello Sapient,

where exactly can i locate the TNBA tournament results for 2018, that was held in Columbia, SC?

  • Lisa Sullvian

    Hi,
When will the results/standings be posted for the Columbia/Irmo TNBA Tournament that was held in February? Haven’t seen anything posted.

    Thanks,
    Lisa

Hello (to all on the thread). I did have an opportunity to check for the preliminary results at the bowling center; they are no longer posted there. I will continue to see if I can find out anything more definitive.

      • BGail

Is there a link somewhere that people can see the results from February… I’m finding it very difficult with all of the TNBA’s tournaments in finding results. There should be one webpage where each TNBA affiliate post their results, it would make easier for everyone. Just a suggestion…

        • Sapient1

Hello BGail and Demetryce. The unofficial results were posted at the bowling center for a period of time. When I went to look for them based on previous queries, they were no longer there. I know some of the tournament organizers, I will communicate your request for web based posting of results going forward.

          Thanks for commenting.

          Regards,

          Sapient1

            Hello Lillie,

That may be difficult as that was a long time ago. I can ask, however. In the meantime, I will add you to the email list so you are aware of new tournaments as they become available.

Hey Gary. I’ll pass the word on to the tournament organizer and let you know what if he has anyone available. I’ll hit you up on email with the reply.
